I walked in on Thanksgiving eve not realizing that they didn't take debit or credit cards for payment. Del himself told me that I could come back with the cash. First off, he gave me a great cut and made me feel like a million bucks. And to trust me to return with the money. I couldn't disappoint him or his establishment. I ran down to the bank, got the money, and returned. Left a good tip. Im not even from the area.I live in Northern California.
I got a great haircut here the other day and it reminded me of just how nice an old school barber shop can be. Used to go here in the 70's & 80's then moved away. I highly recommend. Back again for another great haircut, Great cuts and great old school atmosphere.
We’ve been in the area a short time & after a few so so haircuts, it was time to find my husband a good, consistent barber shop. I found Del’s & he decided to give it a try based on their high ratings. The atmosphere is quite busy but very relaxed with the barbers & costumers talking to each other. The barbers all introduced themselves to my husband and never forgot his name. He got the best haircut that he’s ever had. Quite an impressive place!
This is a true example of a barber shop. All ages welcome and no appointments necessary. A piece of Escondido history, and real Americana. Go and see. They do everything from a flattop to a fade, just ask.
I've been getting my haircut at Dels for a little over ten years and that is one of the best Baber Shops in Escondido with a lot of great history behind them. They are a great supporter of our Armed Services and extremely proud red blooded Americans. I don't know what kind of bush Jesus Duarte's been smoking but he needs medical help. Dels Barbershop caters to every ethnic group you can think of and they've been doing it successfully for over 65 years without any issues to speak of and contribute to our local community in more ways than one. I highly recommend them to everyone. Come get your haircut and if for whatever reason you don't like it, I will personally refund your money. Al, Jason, Josh and Jimmy are absolutely amazing good hearted, hard working Barbers. That poor review they received is completely unfounded. Keep up the good work guys.

Gave me good old barbershop vibess P.s. please bring cash with you My first time here and I brought card they were so nice to have my son get his haircut first and then ran down to the bank and came back to pay them Absolutely recommend
